Independence Energy Connection

Local Jobs, Community Investment

As the Transource Independence Energy Connection (IEC) project enters the final phases of regulatory review, the company is preparing for an expected construction start in 2020.

Early in the project, Transource committed to using local services and supplies where possible. At the beginning of 2020, Transource announced the selection of a local company, Harlan Electric, as the line contractor for the company’s portion of the project and hosted a Vendor Meet and Greet event in Chambersburg, PA, for local companies to meet in person with company representatives and to learn about aspects of the project available for bid.

If your business qualifies as an MBE/WBE/DBE, please also fill out the form linked here and email it to iec@transourceenergyprojects.info, in addition to completing the capture form below.

Local businesses can still submit their information for consideration on the IEC project. If you were unable to attend the event and wish to have your business considered on this project, you can submit your company information using the capture form below.

Construction is expected to provide 130 full-time jobs and $40 million in economic activity for the local economies.
