    Transource is committed to using local contractors, workers and services, where possible on the Independence Energy Connection project. Project construction is expected to support 130 full-time jobs and inject approximately $40 million into the local economies. Start of construction will occur upon the receipt of necessary approvals, including from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and the Maryland Public Service Commission.

    Transource has already utilized local services and entered into some initial project construction agreements (view press release here).
